The 1985 Live Aid benefit concert was watched by 1.5 billion people around the world. With an endless list of stars and singers, it's no wonder it was such a success.
Live Aid was a multi-continental benefit concert thrown in 1985, and it was the brainchild of Irish singer Bob Geldof. It was hosted in two sold-out stadiums and was also broadcast live on TV, which brought in over one and a half billion viewers in total.
Everyone who was anyone performed that day; from David Bowie to Phil Collins, Queen to Paul McCartney. I truly believe there never has been and never will be another concert quite like it. The atmosphere across the stadiums was electric and every single performance was incredible, I cannot even imagine what it must have felt like to have actually been there and experienced it live in-person. I wish I could travel back in time to be there!
I created this infographic to highlight some of the insane statistics from the concert.
